Grub-a-dub-dub

The pediatrician said I would "know" when Asher was ready for solids.  He has always eaten like a piggily wiggly (and spits-up a ton because of it!), so I wasn't quite sure what she meant.  Then one morning, he ate 10 oz and then still tried to eat my breakfast bar.  I decided that must be what she meant!

So, on August 4th I gave him his first bite of "real" food.

It pretty much went the way I expected it to - most of it came right back out because he had his tongue going in the wrong direction.  It ended up all over his chin, just like his brother's did.

It was awesome.

We've been practicing eating almost everyday and he's getting better at it.  He's had rice cereal and oatmeal so far...

He's pretty happy about his new skill!
