The Baby in the Mirror

Hey Mom, who's this baby in the mirror?

I think he likes me

He's really funny

And pretty cute too!

Do you think we can play again tomorrow?

See ya later, new friend - it's time for my bath!

Precious Playmates

I love that they are playmates already.

Caden loves to make Asher laugh.  And the best way to get giggles out of his baby brother?  Singing!  Here is "Jesus Loves Me"...

Watching them together makes my heart happy

I'm so glad I have these - one day they'll start fighting over toys and I can just watch these on repeat to remind myself how much they really do love one another and what good buddies they really are!

Grub-a-dub-dub

The pediatrician said I would "know" when Asher was ready for solids.  He has always eaten like a piggily wiggly (and spits-up a ton because of it!), so I wasn't quite sure what she meant.  Then one morning, he ate 10 oz and then still tried to eat my breakfast bar.  I decided that must be what she meant!

So, on August 4th I gave him his first bite of "real" food.

It pretty much went the way I expected it to - most of it came right back out because he had his tongue going in the wrong direction.  It ended up all over his chin, just like his brother's did.

It was awesome.

We've been practicing eating almost everyday and he's getting better at it.  He's had rice cereal and oatmeal so far...

He's pretty happy about his new skill!

Bronco Boys

We have some serious Bronco fans around here - and I don't just mean JZ!

We took Caden to Broncos Training Camp for the third time.  Last year we got to see Tim Tebow and this year we got to see Peyton Manning (#18 in all the pictures below)!  We decided Asher was too little, so we left him home with Gaga.

I wish I knew Peyton Manning because I'd totally send him this picture.  I'm sure he'd love it :)
I couldn't even begin to tell you what I saw the team doing, or how they're year is going to be, but I can tell you that we had a great time.  Training Camp is so fun because you are so close!  Caden was really into it and sat still for a good 15 min. while he watched the players.  It was a SUPER hot day, so we didn't stay too long, but we were there long enough to see "the greatest quarterback ever," according to JZ (which says a lot because he is a HUGE John Elway fan) in a Broncos uniform.

Hooray for a great season!

And on a side note, here's what happened while I was trying to take Asher's picture that morning...

Hmm, will he be a football player or photographer?

Workin' Man

Asher loves the exersaucer as much as Caden did!

He's a serious workin' man!

Conversations with Caden

Caden:  "Mommy, you'll always be my baby, right?"

Caden:  "Where did the sun go, Mommy?"
Me:  "I think he went behind the clouds."
C:  "Did he go home to put on his jammies, brush his teeth, and watch a show?"

Scene: Wile reading Green Eggs and Ham...
Caden:  "Why is he grumpy, Mommy?"
Me:  "Well, Sam-I-Am is bugging him to try the green eggs and ham."
C:  "He should try a 'no thank you' bite!"

Scene:  Nighttime prayers in bed
Me:  "... Amen."
Caden:  "And help Caden to keep being a good listener.  You forgot that one, Mommy!"

Scene:  Caden was not doing something I asked him to
Caden:  "I'm not cooperated!"

Scene:  "reading" a book to Gaga
Caden: "Wait, I need my glasses!"
