Florida Part Deux

Just before Valentine's Day we headed to Florida for a little fun in the sun. Well, we thought we were headed to fun in the sun. What we ended up with was a little different.
Here is Caden helping us pack

Unfortunately, it was SUPER cold in FL while we were there. Trust me. I am well versed in cold weather, and this was COLD! No swimming pool or beach for us this time!

Caden also got very sick while we were there. He got some sort of stomach virus that took over 10 days to run its course. I won't share the details, but if you just imagine The Exorcist you'll get the idea. Poor baby never did run a fever, but he did stop eating for awhile. There were two nights that we said, "If he doesn't eat in the morning we'll have to take him to the ER." Luckily, each morning he woke up hungry. I did call the pediatrician twice and they told me just to watch for dehydration, but that it would probably take 10-14 days for it to pass. Yikes. We were in FL for 13 days and he was sick, sick, sick, for 11 of them. That put a damper on our vacation!

Nevertheless, we were able to have some fun. We arrived two days before Valentine's Day.
Caden loved listening to Papa and his quartet practice their singing Valentines.

I also enjoyed listening to my Valentine song. They're singing Daddy's Little Girl to me

Caden did learn two new tricks while we were there...
How to cook

And play the piano

And before we knew it, we were landing in Denver again.

I won't lie. Traveling with an active, mobile, 9 month old is hard. However, getting to see him play with his Great-grandma Brazil makes it worth it (I think!)
