JZ and CP LOVE the hot tub

The other day they invited Asher and me to go with them.  Ashy was super excited for the invite

He LOVED splashing and kicking water EVERYWHERE

Daddy loved getting to hang out with both of his boys

Ashy and I didn't stay too long, but we had a GREAT time!

Mr. Fix-It

Caden used to love to "help" me do the dishes.  Now he has a full tool set that he uses to fix everything around our house.  

I'm not sure why I thought Asher would be any different!

I'm sure it's just a coincidence that two days after these pictures were taken our dishwasher broke - ha!

First Icee

There's no place in the baby book for this first, but we thought it was important enough to document anyway - 

Caden's first Icee!!

Loved it!

First Haircut

I fought it as long as I could.  

I knew Ashy needed a haircut, but I just couldn't do it.

The pressure of his upcoming first birthday pictures and party pushed me over the edge.  So today, JZ and I took both boys for a little trim.

Asher started out OK...

But it quickly turned torturous!  In his defense, he did have a little dried oatmeal from breakfast in his hair and it hurt his poor little head when she combed it!

We calmed him with the diaper-bag-emergency-pink-paci

But then the clippers came out and it was all over!

Watching his big brother get his cut didn't even seem to help!

Luckily, he only needed a little trim over the ears and in the back, so the torture was over quickly and TOTALLY worth it!

Once we got home he decided he liked his new look after all  

You're getting bigger everyday big buddy!  

One week until the big first birthday!

Televen

The other day, Caden asked me to take his picture, which I happily did

Then he wanted to see it, which I happily did.

Then he said he wanted to hear it.  Hmm, that's a tricky one.

So he decided to put on a little counting show while I took a video...

Who else says televen except CP?  And really, who needs 13, 17, 17, or 18?!?

I will cherish this video forever.  

I Like to Move It, Move It

Here's how a conversation between JZ and I went last night...

Me:  "Hey, maybe we should get the walker out of the crawl space for Ashy."

JZ:  "Ok, I'll go get it."

Wait 5 min...

Me: "Here Ashy, stand behind this."

And here's what he did.  Immediately.

Unbelievable!  

I guess we should have brought that thing out earlier!

Ashy Bashy is on the move!

If only the transition from formula to milk was going this well...

Sir Eats-a-lot

Meet Asher

Also known as Sir Eats-a-lot

'Cause he likes to eat.  A lot.

At 11.5 months Asher has zero teeth.

That's right, zero (Although the bottom two are soooo close).

That doesn't stop him though.  He eats everything.  Cheerios, toast, chicken, sausage, cheese, hamburger, pizza, beans, fruit...

Nothing slows him down

It seems as if every picture of him recently has been taken in his high chair.

'Cause that's where he spends the majority of his awake time.

Eating.
