April iPhone Photo Dump

I know, I know, I know.  I went over a month without a blog post.  We've been crazy busy, which means that I don't have time to blog, but it also means we don't have time to do anything picture and blog worthy!  I guess it's not really fair to say that we didn't do ANYTHING fun, it was just fewer and farther between than usual.  We've also all been sick.  Over and over and over again.  We keep passing these darn germs back and forth.  And it snowed all of April.  Seriously.  I guess April snow showers bring bring May mud this year!  And JZ traveled 3 out of four weeks in April.  So the boys and I were lucky to survive! See, the month just got away from me!  Ok, I'm done whining now!

To get caught up, I started with the most important yesterday and now I'm working backwards.

In early April we had family fun day at the Colorado Railroad Museum
All aboard!

That evening we went to the White Fence Farm to celebrate Nana's birthday.  Chubby Bubby loved the chicken!
'cause he FINALLY has two bottom teeth now!

Both boys loved the WFF - there's so much to do and fun to be had there!

One night while JZ was out of town, I needed a few minutes to cook dinner without having *someone* crawl up my leg.  I remembered an idea that I saw on Pinterest,  so I put up the Pack and Play and dumped some balls in it.

Success!  10 minutes to make dinner!

In case you're wondering, yes he threw them all out.  No, I didn't care. Dinner, remember?

One morning I had a lovely coffee date with Ashy

And that evening, our dear, brave friend Miss Ree accompanied us to Chuck E. Cheese

She wins Friend of the Year!

One day in mid-April, I stuck Ashy in his crib while I put Caden down for a nap.  When I went to retrieve him, I found him happily playing in his crib - with a blanket over his head.  Kid is crazy!

We also spent a few snowy days inside doing projects.  Here is Caden with a vinegar and baking soda Science project
There was also some fun bubble-blowing that happened, but I was too busy blowing blue bubbles to take pictures.

On one beautiful day in late April, we got O.U.T.  Finley swang in the garage swing

Asher drove the car

And Caden scootered

We even got to have lunch and popsicles outside.

...and then it snowed the next day.

The last weekend in April was so awesome.  On Saturday, we went and rode the new light rail that comes to Golden.  It was free that day and they had lots of fun activities at each stop. I should have known that it would have been a mad house, but it never really occurred to me that anyone else would want to ride it.  Wrong! It was super fun though and the boys loved riding on the tracks that they have been watching being built for YEARS.

They even had a "touch a truck" activity and Caden got to to climb up in a CDOT snow plow and sand truck

Afterwards we went to lunch and home for naps.  One of us didn't make it...

That night we swang,

dug in the dirt,

slid,

and grilled out.  Sheer perfection!

Caden was also invited over to some friends' house to drive a Bobcat

He thought it was AWESOME!  We had no idea they had 4-wheelers too.  Another love for Caden...

...but not so much for Ashy

Ashy and I also got to have breakfast with my friends Kelly and April, and their babies Gavin and Maxime.  Our get togethers sure have changed with the addition of our littles!

And last but not least, just 'cause they're cute...

Whew, take THAT April!
