He's One!

**Prepare yourselves for MANY posts in a row about Ashy's big birthday. Keep in mind that this blog is an electronic baby book for my boys.  I hope that one day, they (or at least their wives!) will appreciate me writing all the important stuff and my feelings!**

Dear Asher,

I can't believe you're one (sniff, sniff)!

For the last year you have blessed and delighted our lives.  I have said it a million times over the last 365 days - you are pure joy.  You are the sweetest of the sweet, the happiest of the happy, and the smiliest of the smiley.  Did I mention that you're handsome too?  Good grief, you (and your brother) are cute!  People always talk about the daddies sitting on the front porch with a shotgun to keep the boys away from their daughters, but  I'm pretty sure that it's going to be ME out there keeping the girls away from you two.  For now, I'm happy to be the main gal in your life.

You are the most content little guy I've ever met.  You are happy to play alone, but you love to interact and play with people too - especially Caden. You and your brother have a special bond already!  I hope you two always use your camaraderie for good and not for plotting against me - otherwise I'm in BIG trouble!

You already make us proud.  Although you have only been on this planet a short time, it is a better place because you're in it.  Little love, you have already changed lives!  Everyone you meet smiles a little brighter after being with you.  Daddy, Caden and I are so lucky to have you and that we get to smile the most and the brightest. 

You make my heart sing.

You were perfectly planned and created.  God knew just what Team Zahrte was missing - YOU!  You are a perfect fit and complete our family puzzle.  Lucky, lucky us!
