Getting Ready for Easter

We've had some...interesting visits with Santa and the Easter Bunny.

This year, we happened upon the bunny on our trip to the mall to get Asher his first pair of shoes.  There was no line and the bunny looked lonely, so we paid him a visit.

Bunny-man was not scary this year (or at least, yet...)

Easter's only one week away!

Happy Spring!

He Did It!

If you remember back to this post, I shared how CP was saving all of his pennies for a new garbage truck.  It took him awhile (and a holiday or two!), but he did it!

He is the proud owner of (yet another) recycle truck!

This truck isn't EXACTLY what he had originally wanted- it's plastic instead of metal, green instead of orange, and came from Marshall's instead of the fancy toy store (making it SIGNIFICANTLY less expensive)

He seems OK with his purchase

Congratulations, CP!!  Way to save all your "monies" and buy something you really wanted.

Now he's decided he wants to save for the crane truck he saw at Marshall's...

Silly Leprechaun

We had a silly leprechaun that came by our house.

He turned Belle's water and our milk green

He dumped out our Lucky Charms, but left some coins and a clover plant too

We decided we'd have Lucky Charms and green milk for breakfast

But, I guess that leprechaun had to use the bathroom before he left.

Silly leprechaun!

Our Little Man is One!

Ashy is such a little man that we decided that should be the theme of his 1st Birthday Party -  a Little Man Mustache Bash!
The red marks are covering up our address and my phone number/email address.  If you don't know them already, this isn't how I want you to get them!

We were so lucky that my friend, April, and I recently hosted a mustache baby shower for our friend, Kelly and had a lot of leftover decorations I was able to use!

In the basket are the super cute favors - chocolate mustache pops!

The big banner reads, "Happy Birthday Asher"

Underneath the mantle are all of his monthly pictures

Those cupcakes were as yummy as they were pretty!  Everyone ate them up!

Except Asher.

He didn't know quite what to do with that thing.

He got out of his chair pretty quickly.  The birthday boy didn't even need a bath!

We also had a super fun photo booth to take pictures of people that came to celebrate with us!

Auntie DeeDee and Uncle Kirk

Megan and Finley

Kelly and Carson - the soon-to-be parents

Auden, Sophie, and Ayden

Asher's Godfamily - Josh, Brianna, and Emily

Caden and Ethan

GaGa

Daddy and Me - we made it a year as the parents of two boys!

Gram
After a good nap for all of us, we opened up Asher's birthday presents.

Well, Asher opened up a few..

But Caden did most of the work!

Ash was pretty psyched about everything though

By the end of the opening extravaganza, our living room looked like a bomb had gone off!

And as usual, Asher enjoyed the paper, boxes, and bags more than any of the toys!

...and that's a wrap on the last 1st birthday party I'll ever host (no matter what anyone else says!)

Cake Smash

Caden's cake smash pictures turned out so cute that I wanted to do it again for Asher.

Last week, Courtney came over to take 1 year pictures and cake smash pictures of Ashy.  He smiled beautifully for the "formal" pictures, but didn't want to smash the cake.  So, after a two-hour nap, Caden and I tried again.  Our camera is not as good, and I'm not as good of a photographer as Courtney, but at least my subject was cute!  Here's the story (in pictures) of Asher's cake smash

Check out his right leg - he immediately crawled into the cake!

This is not a huge piece of cake that he's eating - it's the "1" candle that was on the top.  That was his favorite part!

Caden says, "This is how you do it, Ashy!"

You're right, it is good!

And just for fun, here is a side-by-side comparison on my cakey boys.

Smash-a-smash-a-smash-a!
