This is the face of a kid with thrush :(

Yep, we knew that it was a possibility because of the antibiotics that he had to be on.  I was really diligent about checking his mouth while he was on the medicine, but he's been off of it for 10 days now.  Who would have thought it would appear now?  I noticed a couple of white patches on the inside of his cheeks a couple of days ago.  I tried wiping them away, but I couldn't.  I knew right away what it was (Caden had thrush too, remember?), so I called the pediatrician.  I am grateful that they didn't make me bring him in, and just called in a prescription for us.  Thankfully, the thrush doesn't seem to really be bothering him, but we didn't want to wait until it did.  We have to swab his mouth with the medicine four times a day until it goes away (should be 5-10 days).  Poor buddy!

So, in case anyone is keeping score, both of our boys have had infections in their diaper region and thrush before the age of 2 months.  That has to be some sort of quality parenting record, don't ya think?!?
