Happy He is Risen Day! We made it home from FL just in time to celebrate Easter in a BIG way! We started by dyeing Easter eggs on Saturday morning.
CP LOVED dyeing eggs. He was highly supervised during the actual dyeing part, but was able to go to town putting "stickies" on the eggs. He also loved dipping the spoon into the cup, so we gave him a cup of plain water to play in. He never knew the difference!
That evening we went to an Easter Egg Hunt at a nearby golf course. It was a little chilly, but we had such fun, can't you tell? (Are you wondering why his sweatshirt says George Fox? George Fox University is a school in Oregon that JZ works with. When we had Caden the library staff gave us this great, heavy duty hoodie. He wears it all the time and could be a model for them, don't you think?)
He really got into picking up the eggs (or "balls" as he kept calling them) and putting them into his basket. When the eggs had all been hunted he just took some out of his basket and rehunted them!
After the hunt we stayed and took part in the "Kids Eat Free" offer the golf course had - happy Mommy and Daddy!
Caden P must have been a very good boy because the Easter Bunny stopped by our house Sunday morningWhoa, what a haul! The pile on the left is from the Bunny and the pile on the right is from GaGa and Papa. Before we left for church, we gave Cade a few minutes to play with his new toys. Didn't he look so handsome in his Easter best?
After church there was another Easter Egg Hunt. They divided the kids into two groups - toddlers and big kids. The toddlers went down to the playground to hunt for the zillion eggs scattered around. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately!) there were only 3 toddlers - Caden and his twin girlfriends Ayden and Sophia - to gather all the eggs. We have more candy than we did on Halloween! I thought CP would love this Easter Egg Hunt as much as he did the night before, but he was a little distracted by all of the playground equipment. He just wanted to go down the slide (nope, too wet) and stand on top of the playset and throw the eggs onto the ground. Nice. The girls very nicely picked up eggs and put them into their baskets. Caden threw them while making "vroom" noises. Whatever, he had fun and I got some cute pictures.
After the hunt and a yummy breakfast, we went up to Gram's house to have Easter dinner. CP got to open more presents before he went down for a nice long nap. Here are CP and Grandpa Kim putting together his new step stool that sings while he washes his hands and brushes his teeth. I love the intensity from both of them. Serious business! He also received some super cool sunglasses. As you can see they are universally cool, no matter who wears them or where you put them!
