It was time. He looked unloved and unkempt. He was continually mistaken for a girl. The boy needed a haircut.
And then the nice lady put a cape on him (not a fan) and went to town chopping off those pretty (but slightly girly) curls he had. Here we are discussing how much to take off - a little off the back and sides, not too much off the top because we still have to do the comb over thing
So we went to a kiddie salon that specializes in this kind of thing
which, by the way, was too expensive and too far away. We probably won't go back, but for the first haircut it was totally worth it
He got to choose his "chair"

I was shocked at how good he was. He started fussing at the end, but by that point the cut was almost over!
He even got a certificate to commemorate the occasion
Seriously, so handsome and BIG!
Afterwards we went to a toy store nearby. Caden loved playing with the train table and even made a new friend!
Then it was off to Noodles and Company for lunch - wow, can this boy eat mac and cheese!
It's been quite the week around here! Sometimes I look at him and think, "Who are you?!?" Then he smiles and giggles and I know my baby is still somewhere inside of this big toddler boy! Sigh!
