Boy oh boy, did we have a fun Easter! So much fun in fact, that I'm going to have to separate it into two different posts. Here are our Easter pre-game activities...
A few days after Asher was born, Gaga and Papa took CP to the mall to play and have lunch. While they were there they noticed a lonely Easter Bunny, so they decided to get Caden's picture taken. He smiled nicely for the Easter Bunny, but was careful not to get too close.
Last week Caden went to his first Easter Egg hunt of the season. It was held in our neighborhood for all of the little kiddos that live near us. We had been practicing hunting eggs (and eating the goodies inside!), but he had never hunted with other people. Well, that's not true exactly. Last year he hunted eggs at church and at a nearby golf course, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't remember it. In fact, when I handed him the Tonka truck Easter basket that he used last year and also in 2010, he acted like he'd never seen it before! Anyhoo, it was a beautiful day for a hunt and Caden had a great time!
The following weekend was the Big One. On Saturday morning we all went to a huge hunt in downtown Golden. The hunt started at 10:00am and was over at 10:02am. No joke! Those kids must have been practicing too.
Asher totally loved the hunt too! |
We didn't read the signs correctly and ended up with the big kids, but CP held his own! |
After the hunt we walked up the street to The Table Mountain Inn where they were hosting a cookie decorating party. So fun!
After lunch and a nap we dyed Easter eggs at home.
